‹ FAQ › Dr.Web Anti-virus for Linux installation guide
Please note : make sure that no anti-virus is running in the system before installation.
01. Launch shell installer script :
Begin installation by running shell installer script from setup file location, as shown in below image.
02. Administrative privileges :
Please enter the administrative password.
03. Begin installation wizard :
The installer is loaded and ready to proceed.
04. Selected software components :
The software components listed will be installed.
05. License agreement :
Accept software license agreement and continue.
06. Begin installation :
The installer will copy all necessary files to default location.
07. Registration step one :
Demo version - Suitable for installation without a valid license key. A demo key is valid for 30 days evaluation, including definition updates. Please note that the functionalities and capabilities of using demo key or license key are the same.
Register license key - Suitable for installation with license key which is not expired.
Existing key file - Suitable for re-installation if the key file "drweb32.key" is previously backup.
08. Registration step two :
Fill in the 16 characters license key and proceed.
09. Registration step three :
Fill in the user information. If "receive corporate news" is selected, latest products news (English only) will be delivered directly from headquarter in Russia, but may not be applicable to users in Hong Kong & Macau.
10. Registration is completed :
After successful registration, key file will be automatically saved. The activation and expiration date will be displayed.
11. Installation is completed :
Dr.Web installation is now completed and constant protection is enabled.
