‹ FAQ › Dr.Web Anti-virus for Mac installation guide
Please note : make sure that no anti-virus is running in the system before installation.
01. Launch installer :
Begin installation and accept software license agreement.
02. Select destination :
Choose where to install the Dr.Web.
03. Begin installation :
The installer will copy all necessary files to designated location.
04. Registration step one :
Receive license key file - Suitable for installation with license key which is not expired.
Receive demo key file - Suitable for installation without a valid license key. A demo key is valid for 30 days evaluation, including definition updates. Please note that the functionalities and capabilities of using demo key or license key are the same.
Already have a valid key file - Suitable for re-installation if the key file "drweb32.key" is previously backup.
05. Registration step two :
Fill in the 16 characters license key and proceed.
06. Registration step three :
Suitable for renewal only. For first time installation, please skip this step.
07. Registration step three :
Fill in the user information. If "Subscribe to Dr.Web info mailing list" is selected, latest products news (English only) will be delivered directly from headquarter in Russia, but may not be applicable to users in Hong Kong & Macau.
08. Registration is completed :
After successful registration, key file will be automatically saved. The activation and expiration date will be displayed.
09. First time update :
Dr.Web Scanner will be launched and perform first time update.
10. Installation is completed :
Dr.Web installation is now completed and constant protection is enabled.
11. Components settings :
When Dr.Web scanner is launched, select any component from pull down menu for setting change.
